ABOUT
Empowering Students to Succeed
Optimum Change, LLC, is dedicated to helping students succeed academically and become exemplary leaders in their careers. Founded by Dr. Betty Johnson, our approach is to create a supportive environment that fosters students' academic success and leadership skills by building rapport, trust, openness, and a sense of belonging. Our goals include improving persistence, retention, and graduation rates for high school and college students; identifying learning gaps for high school juniors, seniors, first-year, first-generation, and non-traditional college students; and providing tailored mentoring and coaching sessions to enhance student success. We partner with parents, high schools, colleges, and universities, fostering resilience and transformative change through determination and encouragement so that every student can complete their education and go on to succeed in their career.

Our Approach
We are data-driven, using evidence-based information from test scores, grade point averages, career assessments, and student surveys on well-being and belonging. This allows us to tailor our approach to meet each student's unique needs. Success is measured by tracking retention records, graduation rates, educational goals, academic performance, and student surveys.
Through this tailored approach, students gain access to a wealth of career resources and participate in skill-based workshops designed to cultivate self-awareness, enhance communication, foster accountability, and boost motivation. This comprehensive approach not only supports persistence but also significantly improves graduation rates. We ensure every student feels a sense of belonging and is equipped to succeed.
